Cowboys!

I needed to create a baby quilt for a sweet little boy last week, and... you know, we don't do a lot of boy stuff around here! It's usually girly, girly, girly...
And I wanted to use my stash, so here's what I came up with.
I love those cowboys.

And I wanted it to be "monogrammed" but subtle, so I quilted the little guy's name into one of the blocks.

I especially like how well the clouds worked as a binding.

I have a lot of projects that I've neglected to blog about, so I'll be putting those up in the next few days.  Stay tuned!

  1. This is one of my favorites! Love the color combo, not too grown up and not too baby. Trying to find the name is like trying to find Waldo. I'm guessing it is in the blue block on the top right, but I can't make it out with these old-lady eyes. Great job, Wendy Lee!

  2. Love the cowboy fabric! We are pretty girly around here too - except for the oldest girl who has decided that she only like, blue, green and brown. :)

Great job modern-ing up burgundy and forest green - it takes some doing. :)
