Scraps.... free to good home....

So I've been cutting out Christmas fabric... both for my elf feet quilt and for the Christmas swap!
And I have some scraps. Nothing big enough to be blocks. And I've promised myself that I won't keep things that I don't have a definite purpose for.
So..... I've got them packaged up and ready to mail out.
Now some are rectangularish, and some are longish strips (2" to 4" wide) and some are rather triangular and some have little remnants of Wonder Under on the ends.... they are rather like a box of chocolates.
So do you have a use for this rather odd assortment of rather cute Christmas scraps?
Leave me a comment and tell me what you'd use them for!
I'll pick a winner and get them in the mail this week to you!

  1. I'd love to get a bag of scraps! Scrap quilts are really my favorite, using smallish pieces, but because of that I continually decimate my own scrap pile. I think I'd combine these with some snowflake fabric I have and make Christmas crazy-quilt stockings for my family. Thanks for sharing your goodies. It's true, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

  2. oh! oh! OH! I am making mini-mini quilts...
4-5" as tree decorations. These scraps would be PERFECT!!! I made a mini quilt yesterday and I liked it so much that I decided to make bitty ones for extra gifts. I was planning to go to the store later this week for more Christmas fabric. But, I'll wait to see if I am fortunate enough to win this giveaway. You rock!

  3. This is very nice of you to make sure your scraps get put to good use. I'm sure you'll have many people interested. If you don't find a better use, I'd love to add them to my stash for making charity quilts for children: Linus Quilts, Camp Reach For the Sky, and I've recently been inspired by another blogger for the need to make lap quilts for seniors living in homes that may need a bit of good cheer and warmth.

  4. I love scraps! Your assortment is so whimsical! Love the elf feet, too!

We (my family) need ornaments for our tree and holiday decorations, your scraps are perfect.

I'm thinking of these types of ornaments/decorations:

  12. Hi! Just stumbled across your website and saw that you're giving away scrap pieces. I'd like to enter your giveaway. If I won, I'd use them in a quilt for the Bags of Love program at our church. The quilts are given to kids who are in foster care. I'm a newbie quilter and the church ladies are teaching me the basics. It'd be nice to donate some fabric for my next project as a thank you instead of using the church's fabric.

  22. I do a TON of patchwork (mostly since, as a student scraps are easier to afford) and my mom freaks out about decorating form Christmas. I'd like to make something for her so show her that I support her Christmas bonanza, even though I am away this year.

  23. If you haven't given them away yet... I would love them for scrappy baby doll quilts I am making for three girls in the community. (2 families, 3 girls). The church got them dolls, but each of the ladies agreed to give something else for them. Both dads lost their jobs and Christmas is going to be thin this year...
