Challenge for you all today.....
I have some more fat quarters I'd like to give away:
It's a fat quarter of each print shown from Amy Butler's Daisy Chain line.
Here's how to play--leave a comment and tell me where you are and what you're working on today. So for example,
I'm Wendy, I'm in the great state of Texas, and today I'm hoping my 2-year old will take a nap so that I can quilt my hula girls quilt actually quilted and get it in the mail. And I'm making a special dessert for a friend's 30th birthday get-together. And lamenting that I'm farther away from 30 than I'd like to admit...
I'll choose a winner randomly on Sunday night.
If we can get over 50 comments I'll give away 2 sets.... :)
ready, set, GO!
The fat quarters you are giving away are lovely. I would use those in a cathedral window I am going to make.
ReplyDeleteI am in Florida and I am binding a quilt.
I am also Wendy and I am also in the great state of Texas! I should win just based on that! I'm at work (shhhh!) and about to leave early on a Friday. I am going home to make dinner for my family and then make one five inch swap block. After that i'll start quilts for twin boys I know. I just finished a giant Amy Butler quilt for my sister and a baby quilt for my boss. I don't own a machine, so it's slow going. Hope I win! I love Amy Butler!
ReplyDeletePS - I just added you with a photo to the side of my blog so I can keep up with you. Can I get an extra entry for that?
ReplyDeleteI'm Jenny and I'm in MN. I'm working on 2 baby quilts for twin baby girls.
ReplyDeleteHi, I am Melody and I'm in Auburn California. I am working at the real JOB. I don't get to sew until 5:30pm PDST, that would be about 7:30pm Texas time. But I plan on working on a zigzag quilt when I get home... Is it time to go home yet????
ReplyDeleteOh, I love those greenish-blues! I'm Evelyn, working from home in Redmond. I'm working on a really tedious and frustrating task (stupid software stuff), which is driving me insane. But hey, it's my job. I take frequent little breaks to read a blog or two. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am Rochelle in West Tennessee waiting until a few more people leave the office so I can start my weekend. But have several sewing projects waiting for me at home.
ReplyDeleteThis is Gina from the great State of Texas! Go Longhorns! (oops, that just disqualified me, huh Wendy...that's Hayden's goal, what can I say.) I am working on a quilt block swap for our family reunion in October. I am a new quilter, and I think I've been bitten hard! I love the colors in the fabrics! Maybe they could become part of the reunion quilts....
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Anita and I'm in Florida. Today I worked outside, weeding, for 3 hrs...and I had a helper...so I am too tired to quilt today. I do have a quilt under the machine now in the midst of quilting, another on my kitchen table putting on the batting and backing and another on my cutting table waiting it's turn to get finished!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Lola Jo from Illinois (not the Chicago part). I've been lucky enough to spend the entire day working on a Joker costume. It's for my brother-in-law who is going to Dragon Con this year. It's a purple suit jacket and pants, green satin shirt, and yellow taffeta vest. It is many first all rolled into one and it's due before Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Andi in Phoenix. Today I was busy setting up my classroom, and I'm trying to find time to work on a disappearing nine patch for Quilts of Valor.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, I am Jenny and I am in Fort Wayne. Today I am working on patience. Well, to be honest I work on that everyday! My 4 year old and 20 month old are oil and water and I am REALLY hoping its the particular age difference right now, because I pray they grow up to be best friends! Besdies that, Im working on straightening up my sewing room so I can clear enough space to actually sew!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at the fabric, I love Amy Butler.

I'm Jacqui and I'm in Auckland New Zealand. Today I've finished off a fairy wand for a little girl's birthday present and a skirt for my daughter so for the rest of the day I plan to do exactly nothing and enjoy it immensely! Tomorrow I'm going to start thinking about finishing a long-overdue baby quilt (kid's not in Uni yet but the quilt's definitely overdue!)
ReplyDeletei'm whitney in cincinnati, ohio... and today i'm working on finally finishing the quilting on a map fabric panel that's been 3/4 of the way done for way too long! why did i think following the outlines of each state was a smart move? :) once that's done i'd love to start a color-wheel geese block to make for a throw pillow, for my first attempt at paper-piecing!
ReplyDeleteI'm Barbara in H'ville, NC, which is in the mountains of western NC, in other words I am a hillbilly, grin.
ReplyDeleteI am working on about 12 projects at once, most of them embroidery boms from various blogs, plus a couple of applique boms from the various blogs also, plus making a bluework baby quilt with all forms of transportation, including some really old cars, like a 1908 Cadillac from a Redwork book I bought years ago and never did anything with the designs before now. Barbara
Hi, I'm Kathleen in Illinois farm country. I'm working on two BOMs that I purchased a LONG time ago and didn't keep up on. And quilting a black white & red quilt on the long arm. And binding a two color quilt. But new projects keep interrupting me. What an awesome giveaway. I, like every other quilter, love Amy Butler fabrics - so fresh.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope that you haven't done your drawing yet as I just stumbled upon your blog/post.
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Sally and I live in Illinois, in the great Chicago-land area. Today, I have been working on a car trash bag and a little zippered box pouch. Interestingly enough, it was made out of Amy Butler fabric, too! If you pop over to my blog you can see them.
I'm Deanna, I'm in the HOT state of Florida and I'd like to start working on my Christmas list I made. I have so many projects and so much fabric- Christmas presents are the only way I'll be able to do them all and use it all!
