Giveaway day part 2!

Welcome to giveaway day part deux.
So here's what I'm curious about.... would people rather win a very planned and organized, matching charm pack a la giveaway day part 1, or would they rather win.....
A HODGEPODGE OF RANDOM FABRIC OUT OF MY STASH!!
That's right ladies and gents. You can win this random assortment of (mostly, but not all) selvedge to selvedge cuts of lovely fabric from my stash.
All are at least 2" wide.
(Personally I'd rather win the hodgepodge, but that's just me...)

You'll be getting several of my favorites including the sock monkeys, the beets, and the jelly beans. And the crows, well I bought them thinking how interesting they are, but I can't figure out anything to do with them that isn't going to be a little creepy.

To enter: tell me one of the following (or all. whatever. it's up to you.)

(1) what to do with the crows fabric. I have 2 yards minus the cut I'm giving away. so a bunch.
or
(2) if you'd rather win the hodgepodge or the charm pack
or
(3) what you'd do with the hodgepodge
or
(4) whether you like the sock monkeys or the beets better.

To enter a second time:
become a follower and leave a second comment telling me, or if you are already a follower, just leave a second comment telling me.
I'll close the entries on the 20th at 5pm central time.

And you might want to check out giveaway part 1......

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. 1) I think it would make a great backing of a Halloween quilt.

    2) I can't decide which one I would rather win! The hodgepodge is so fun, but I love charm packs too!

    3) I want to make an I spy quilt. I am saving up scraps. :)

    4) I love the sock monkeys!

  2. I agree-the back to a Halloween/fall quilt would be my suggestion. So fun!

  3. I'd use the great crow fabric for a start on a scrappy black and white and (fill in a favorite color) quilt.

And, I think winning a hodgepodge is better because it is somehow a reflection of you (not a fabric designer). Plus, the winner is likely to fall in love with at least some fabrics in a hodgepodge selection ... but it's possible that they wouldn't much like an entire collection of charm squares based on a line they didn't like much.

I know, I only had to answer one of the questions, but I was feeling opinionated ... and I prefer the sock monkeys, too ;-)

  4. Ps. I'm already a follower ;-)

  5. I prefer the hodgepodge. You can have so much fun looking through the different styles and seeing what you could do. Thanks for the chance!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I like the beets better...mostly becuase my hubby loves Dwight from The office, who loves beets and I could make something really fun with it for him!

  7. humm....... tough question. I think I'd enjoy the charm pack, myself :-) But I am not opposed to the hodge podge.

  8. (1) I don't know what you should do with the crows fabric, but I love it! I think it's great. (2) I'd rather win the hodgepodge! I love scraps. (4) Definitely sock monkeys! Thanks!

  9. (3)I think the hodgepodge would make a fabulous child's quilt- simple squares of fabric separated by a plain border.
As a child , especially during my interminable nap, I would have loved to go 'exploring' thorough such a quilt.

  10. Scraps, scraps, scraps! Crows, crows, crows!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Scraps, scraps, scraps. They breed and make more scraps in my sewing room. Like an incubator. I'm positive they breed. But I do cut them up with my AccuQuilt GO! and make lovely charity quilts out of them! So, I love, love, love scraps.

  14. I love sock monkeys! They make me smile!

  15. I'm not a big sock monkey fan, so the beets would be my choice of the two. Hodge podge fabrics are great for string quilts...Thanks for the chance.

  16. 1)The crows fabric immediately reminded me of this shirt (http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=5230). Instead of the words though, how about an appliqued bigger crow? Maybe that'd work.

    2)I'd prefer the hodgepodge

3)I'm not sure what I'd do with it yet, but it sure would be fun!

    4)Now that's a toss up! I love them both!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I like the hodgepodge better.
I am making a quilt for my 5 year old. This year, yeah. With goodnight monkey fabric, and I would throw this orange monkey fabric in.

You should make a halloween quilt with the crow fabric. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love the hodgepodge! I especially like the beets...I'd have to make something for the kitchen with that fabric!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'd be tempted to make a witch hat or a cool autumn bag out of the crows. Hodgepodge, totally; it's so much fun to have someone else's tastes pop in! Not sure - I-Spy or fussy cut hexagons for my (neverending) GFG leap to mind. Love the beets.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1) I have no idea, sorry.

    2) hodgepodge

    3) I'd make an I-spy quilt. DD has been asking for one.

    4) Tough choice but I have to go with the beets. I have a veggie fetish :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like them all!!!!! Maybe a Yellow Brick Road quilt....an I spy quilt??? Great fabrics...

I would be happy to win either..

  25. Okay, so the sock monkeys rock! I would probably use the crows to create a cool skirt or top for a Halloween art doll. It just sounds like a fun thing to use. I like hodgepodge, because I use small pieces of fabric to create my dolls and for my mixed media stuff, but sometimes it's fun to have a bunch that coordinates, too. Okay...I think I answered your questions! HA! Have a great day and thanks for the fun giveaway! jinglesells at gmail dot com

  26. Hodge podge for me every time!!
    Scrappy quilts are best!!

  27. I love the crows print. It's better than beets or sock monkeys. I'd use the leftovers as trim on a black skirt. Do a 2" wide piece near the hem in the crow print.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'd rather win the hodge podge! In general I like the sock monkeys better...but then I got to thinking about the beets. What a great layer they would make for a gardening bag!

  31. I think my little guys would like the sock monkey fabric. I just made a plus quilt with a lot of different fabrics. This would make an interesting looking one... :) I didn't even notice that those were crows. Maybe from far away it would just look black and grey, so you could do anything with it! :) Or make a shirt for a scarecrow.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The crows would make a nice tble runner for Halloween.
I'd much, much rather have the hodge podge
The hodge podge would likely go into a quilt

  37. I'd prefer the hodgpodge, because it'd be most useful for the way I quilt, but if I had the matching charm pack, I could make one of those pattterns that expects you to HAVE a matching charm pack. So I'd be happy with either.

The sock monkeys are cute, but I'd be more likely to use the beets.

I'd make a bag with the crow fabric, because it's neat and I'd want to show it off.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love hodgepodge scraps-- I've been known to pay for them! I use them mostly for embellishing kids and baby stuff, and you've got some great designs for that. And I love the sock monkeys. thanks for the giveaway!

  47. If I won the hodgepodge pack, i would use it in the eyespy quilt I am making for my son. I just need 4 inch by 4 inch pieces of fun random fabrics and if I have more than that, then I add it to another pile for the next eye spy quilts I am making for my neice and nephews.

  48. 1. I know it sounds weird but my 2-year-old LOVES all birds, especially the creepy ones that plague walmart during the fall and winter. So as weird as it sounds, I would probably use the crow fabric as a pillow or something for her room.

    2. I would rather have the scraps just because I am so in love with the sock monkeys that I can hardly stand it. I would do just about anything to get my hands on even a little scrap of that fabric. :)

  132. The crow material might make a nice reversible vest. I can't decide which I'd like to win. Both have their places. The hodgepog would be added to my scrap quilt pile and maybe small pieces towards an I Spy pillow cover. I don't have any sock monkeys, so I prefer it.

  133. Put the crow fabric in a Halloween quilt. I would LOVE the hodge podge! I love making little bitty hexagons and scraps are perfect for that! Thanks so much!

  134. I like them all,the crow fabric would look nice in a Halloween quilt, I still prefer the charm pack.

  135. Can I answer all? this is my 'girl-time' :) !!
    (1) I would use it as a backing for something colorful - great contrast!
    (2) Oh believe me either! I'm drooling :)
    (3) I'd have a blast with it making eye-spy or other cool scrappys!
    (4) Both! Monkeys for the kid charity quilts I do and beets for a small jar quilt!

    *hugs*

  137. Sock monkeys over beets anyday, and you could use the crows for a scarecrow panel border for a halloween/ autumn wallhanging. It is a wee bit Alfred Hitchcocky....but yeah, I see what you're saying now that I"m thinking about it...heheheheh

  138. I would use this wonderful hodgepodge to make little pencil cases for my son's kindergarten class... maybe mixing a strip of fabric with a solid or linen.

    ReplyDelete
  139. the hodgepodge sounds really good! I could make a beautiful bag.
you can use the crows fabric to make whatever you want, since is a neutral color (I think)
Thank you so much for the chance!

  140. I *love* the sock monkeys and I think I might even make my nephews matching ties from it if there is enough of it! It is super cute!

    ReplyDelete
  141. I think I like a hodgepodge better, it is like my personality. Never organized or perfectly matched. Always, scrappy.

    Thank You,

  144. Oh, I love the hodgepodge! I love seeing peoples stashes and the random piles of leftovers/fabrics they couldn't resist buying! Most of those desperately want to be in my ispy quilt (especially the little crows! And jellybeans! I love, love those!) OH, pick me!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Oh I love the scraps! I love scraps! There just seem like lots of possibilities! and I am trying to do a i spy quilt so this would be perfect... and sock monkeys over beets! Thanks

  146. (1) what to do with the crows fabric. - I would make cat toys.

    (2) if you'd rather win the hodgepodge or the charm pack - Hodgepodge

    (3) what you'd do with the hodgepodge - I see a funky pillow cover in those fabrics.

    (4) whether you like the sock monkeys or the beets better. - I like the beets because I'm currently on a beet jag. Have you ever had an orange or yellow beet? Yum.

  147. I like that sock monkey over the beets. That orange is terrific and my sewing buddy would be so jealous if I had that pc in ORANGE, no less!

  148. Hmm...I think the crows would be a nice addition to a black and white quilt. And I like the monkeys over the beets (poor beets, it's not their fault the monkeys are so cute!)

  152. The hodgepodge without a doubt! The sock monkeys and the jellybeans are great. I collecting for some I-spy quilts for my nieces and nephews and my baby boy.

  153. Hodgepodge for sure. Wonderful for all of us fabric junkies. :) Thanks for the chance.

  154. Oh I think making a black and white quilt with the crows would be great. Maybe add in one other color just a bit. Yeah...a quilt featuring those crows would be neat.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Think I would prefer the hodgepodge, but am finding it very difficult to decide between the monkeys and the beets :)

    ReplyDelete
  156. I love the hodgepodge, because I love several of the fabrics. The monkeys are my favorites.
I say, go with creepy for the crows! How about using it in a Halloween quilt? Very Hitchkock.

  157. Wow, thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
I would be happy with any of these. My daughter's 4-H group makes seamless pillowcases for the Akron Children's Hospital and we are always looking for fabric!

  159. 1. Crows for button covers, or embrace the creepy & go for something Halloween-ish. Or a cool fabric bowl.
    2. Hodgepodge, baby!
    3. Hmmm...think I'd have to see it to really get inspired. But...fabric bowls, coasters, pieces of a quilt, kitchen accessories, headbands...
    4. Sock monkeys.
    Sweet giveaway, thanks!

  160. I like the hodgepodge!
I don't know about the crows... I think in small amounts it wouldn't be as creepy as a large piece would be. However, I think it might be fun to make grocery bags! You should get some interesting comments from that!
Oh, and i'm a little bit scared of sock monkeys. Thank you for the chance to win some great fabric!

  165. I definitely like the beets better, because sock monkeys give me the creeps (I know, I'm weird like that).

    ReplyDelete
  166. I love hodge podge. Scrap quilts are my favorite. I've often been tempted to chop my stash up into teeny pieces!

    ReplyDelete
  167. I've always love the sock monkey so that would be my favorite! thank you!! xo

  168. I love charm packs, but a hodgepodge of scraps sets my heart racing, and makes me run down to my sewing machine to start sewing string blocks. I love the freedom to put beets next to jellybeans next to crows, without worrying about mixing and matching and co-ordinating ;)

The crows fabric would be really cute as a set of pillowcases (with black cuffs and a white accent band) - teenagers, especially, would love the theme, lol. What I would do with the hodgepodge fabric would be to make string or scrap blocks and then make something with the blocks - cat quilt, pillow cover, tablerunner, tote bag, window valance - something funky and colorful :) Sock monkeys make me smile, but beets - NOW you're talking, LOL!!! Beet fabric - who'd a thunk it!
