Dollar store flowers to hair clips, part 2

If you didn't catch part 1, be sure to read it as well for some fantastic hair clips!

Here's what you will need:
a hydrangea flower
a stretchy headband
some felt scraps
hot glue

we're going to use a hydrangea today.  It will take most of one flower to make a headband.

First, you will need a stretchy headband and some felt, approximately the color of your flower.
I cut the felt into 2 ovals, one slightly smaller than the other.

put hot glue on your larger oval, and stick the headband onto it.

add more glue on the headband itself, and make a headband sandwich.

now, start pulling off flowers.  Take off this back piece.

and cut down the post so it's even with the bottom of the flower.

put a generous blob of glue on your felt, and stick the flower into it.
continue adding in the same way...

until it's full!

Tomorrow I'll show you how to make the sunflowers.
Stay tuned!

I'm linking this one up to All Thingz Related.

  1. Can I just buy the sunflowers from you? Glue guns and Haley don't make for a good combo, and I just LOVE those sunflowers bows!!
